This year, the year 3 classes again created short videos to illustrate their understanding of force.  The central idea for their Unit of Inquiry was

People apply their understanding of force to simple machines to work more efficiently

The students were videoed performing these activities and they then edited their videos using Windows Live Movie Maker.  To see the steps that the students followed to make their video click here.

Ben’s Video	Ben demonstrates force using some simple stationery in the office.
Charlotte’s Video	Charlotte uses force to push a ball towards a goal and illustrates how gravity takes over to return the ball to the ground.
Josh’s Video	Josh uses the scooter as the simple machine to demonstrate forward movement and friction.
Laura’s Video	Laura has fun with a hula hoop to demonsrate friction and gravity.
